Special Community Book Club Series With Guest Speakers and Movie Screening

Library patrons are invited to pick up a free copy of “Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage and the Birth of the FBI” and participate in a series of events about this nonfiction book. Copies of the book, in both adult and young adult versions, will be given out until they run out.

As part of this series of events through October and November, participants will have two book discussions, at least three guest speakers, and a screening of Martin Scorsese’s movie adaptation “Killers of the Flower Moon.” Young adults will receive a special edition of the book and meet in a separate group for discussions.

Missouri historian Neal Fandek, author of “Native American Monuments of Missouri,” is one of the speakers. He has written on Missouri’s Civil War battles, its state parks, and its museums. His presentation will be October 24th at 11:00 AM.
